Beta(s): Jerusha
Rating: G
Warning(s): House elves may find some of these images disturbing.
Prompt: Hermione is knitting socks for Severus. They are not black.
Summary: Hermione is thrilled that Severus has purchased lightweight khakis to wear while they’re on their Christmas holiday in Australia. She is quickly knitting up a pair of casual socks for Father Christmas to leave in his stocking. Another surprise is planned for under the tree.
I also encourage you to read her other entry, Terms and Conditions. Don't miss the drabble at the end of the comments!

Humbled and honored once more
Date: 2015-08-16 12:35 am (UTC)I've just begun to read a little bit about your experiences living in in the US for a year. You are a wonderful writer and your descriptive style has sucked me right into your adventures.
What type of things do you enjoy knitting?
Hope all goes well as you and your family acclimate yourselves to living back at home.

Date: 2015-08-17 07:40 pm (UTC)So far, I have mostly knitted worsted-weight yarnon fairly big needles, mostly US 6-9, and I think that is why I find the idea of socks intimidating - such tiny needles! Now that I am back in Israel, I'll have to get used to using thinner yarns, as even in winter it's not cold enough for anything heavier. Maybe that will get me into knitting socks ... I like using variegated yarns, and I enjoy knitting lace. Are you on Ravelry? You can see my projects here: http:// www. ravelry. com/ projects/ Leigh1485
